Scope and actual operator.
This notice describes the Scientific Notation Calculator plugin as delivered. The operator is the person or organisation running this installation and choosing its host, public contact details and additional services. The operator must supply accurate identity, legal contact and jurisdiction-specific information before launch.
No controller identity, physical address, retention period or legal basis is invented here. Use Contact for the actual operator’s privacy information and requests.
Tool entries are not stored by the calculators.
Numbers and optional notes are processed in the current browser page. The delivered tools do not submit entries to a calculation API, create accounts, keep an answer history or intentionally write entries/results to cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. Without JavaScript the form controls stay disabled to prevent an ordinary server submission.
Changing inputs clears the current answer. Reset restores the defaults. Leaving or refreshing normally removes the working view, but browser autofill, extensions, tab recovery and backups can behave independently. Avoid private information even in a numeric or optional-note field.
No live lookup or hidden input service.
The arithmetic and prefix definitions are bundled with the plugin. No live scientific data, exchange rate, remote calculator or third-party AI endpoint is consulted. The tool does not request microphone, camera, location or file access.
Displayed user text is inserted literally rather than interpreted as HTML. That is an injection safeguard, not a way to make personal information anonymous.
Downloads, printing and chosen sharing.
Download text creates a file in your browser. Printing or saving PDF sends the current result to the destination you choose. Device folders, printer queues, cloud sync, backups and recipients can retain those copies independently. Review notes before sharing and remove copies through the relevant device or service.
Ordinary hosting and WordPress requests.
Serving a page still involves ordinary network requests. Your host, security layer, cache, content delivery service or other plugins may process IP addresses, request paths, timestamps, user-agent information or cookies. These processes are separate from tool input handling and depend on the actual installation.
The operator should document applicable purposes, providers, international transfers, retention and user rights based on its real configuration. Adding analytics, advertising, embeds or other services requires an updated notice and any necessary consent controls.
Contact email and rights requests.
The configured public email is published as a mail link. Sending email is handled by your mail provider and the operator’s provider; the plugin does not collect a contact-form submission. Keep messages minimal and do not send confidential data sets or student identifiers.
Depending on applicable law you may have access, correction, deletion, objection or other rights regarding data actually held by the operator. There is no stored calculator answer history to retrieve. Ask the operator about email and host records separately.
Children, updates and responsible use.
The free tools can support study but do not require a child’s identity, account or school details. Do not enter those details in a note. An adult or teacher should guide use where appropriate.
The operator should review this notice whenever the host, plugin configuration or added services change. The policy describes delivered behaviour, not every possible future installation.
