Educational working, not professional validation.
Results support learning and checking. They do not replace a teacher or textbook, certify assignment correctness, approve a design or establish that a scientific assumption is valid. Always compare the input interpretation and method with the question you are trying to answer.
Exact relative to entered digits.
BigInt fraction arithmetic avoids binary decimal artefacts and retains exact rational results. A terminating decimal may be expanded exactly; a repeating answer uses an exact fraction and a labelled rounded scientific display. This describes the arithmetic, not the uncertainty or accuracy of a real measurement.
Rounding uses half away from zero. Arithmetic display precision applies only to repeating displays; the separate rounding tool applies a requested significant-figure count. No automatic laboratory significant-figure rule or uncertainty propagation is performed.
Conventions can change the meaning.
Plain integer trailing zeros are treated as placeholders by the counter unless a decimal point or e notation is written. All-zero counting follows a stated decimal-place convention. Check your teacher’s convention rather than treating that count as universal.
The exponent tool parenthesizes the signed base, accepts only integer powers, rejects division by zero and leaves 0^0 undefined. It does not choose complex branches or evaluate arbitrary expressions.
Unit and prefix scope.
Metric conversion uses fixed decimal SI powers on an unchanged first-power unit. It does not handle squared/cubed scaling, Ki/Mi binary prefixes, dimensional changes or temperature offsets. Engineering notation can extend beyond available prefixes.
Unit labels are not a dimensional analysis engine. Check the physical quantity and any real-world source data independently.
Implementation limits and important decisions.
Numeric input, exponent, precision and work-size bounds protect responsiveness. Long expanded output can be wrapped across lines; line wrapping is not an inserted digit or arithmetic operation. A refusal due to size does not mean the mathematical expression is invalid.
Seek appropriate independent verification for consequential scientific, engineering, medical or safety-related use. No universal guarantee of accuracy, availability or suitability for a particular purpose is made beyond rights that cannot be excluded by applicable law.
Sources for learning and fixed definitions.
The formulas are stated beside each tool. SI prefix definitions are fixed powers, not a live data feed. For a formal reference, the BIPM SI Brochure describes SI units and prefixes; a source link does not imply affiliation, calibration or endorsement.
